1) Master Code: A master code is the primary 4-digit code that a home owner would use to arm and disarm their security system. The Master code is also used to change system settings such as Time & Date.

2) Changing Master Code:

  • On the keypad enter [*] [5]
  • Enter the current Master Code
  • Enter [40]
  • Enter the new Master Code
  • Press [#] to return to the ready state

3) Changing the Time and Date:

  • On the keypad enter [*] [6]
  • Enter the Master Code
  • Press [1]
  • Enter the Time is Hours and Minutes using 24 Hour format (00:00 to 23:59)
  • Enter the Date in Months, Days and Years (MM DD YY)
  • Example 5:30 pm March 1, 2008 (1 7 3 0 0 3 0 1 0 8)
  • Press [#] to return to the ready state

4) Trouble Light Help:

  • On the keypad enter [*] [2]
  • Some keypads will describe the Trouble (full-message keypads); others will only identify the Trouble number (fixed-message and LED keypads)
  • If Trouble number 8 is lit, the time and date needs to be reset (see above)
  • For all other trouble, please contact SSI at 603-882-0067

5) Adding a User Code:

  • On the keypad enter [*] [5]
  • Enter the Master Code
  • Enter [01] to [32] (this is the 2-digit address for the new code)
  • Enter 4-digit [new user code]
  • Press [#] to return to the ready state

6) Turning on the Chime feature:

  • Press and hold the Door Chime button (bell with musical notes)
  • 3 beeps = ON; 1 long beep=OFF

7) Bypassing a Zone:

  • on the keypad enter [*] [1] while disarmed
  • The Bypass light will flash
  • Enter the 2-digit zone number to be bypassed
  • To exit the bypass function press [#]
